Hello, I'm Cindy Cañas. I am a student at Alliance Gertz Ressler High School in 11th grade. I am a part of an Exploring Computer Science class that Gertz Ressler High School had offered to students for the fist year to learn more about hardware, software, programming, and other technologies. I am also a part of a club called the Gertz Nerds for about 2 years in which, we are able to help other students and teachers new technologies and help with any technological problems that they may have. This year I am also in a engineering club which we are learning about writing code in C++ and robotics. I am a person that is interested in growing my knowledge about technologies and coding to keep up with the growing digital world that we live in. I enjoy being able to help others in trying to understand how to use certain programs or software to benefit them.

There are many skills that I have developed from being in those clubs and class in which I learned how to write basic coding in languages of C++, JAVA, HTML, SQL and Algorithms. Other skills that I developed are being able to explain the procedures to people that have technological problems. It had made me explore more tech apps, software, programs, and hardware to use for school and socially. The use of technology is beneficial to me in the way that I am able to improve assignments or school work at a more proficient level, and helps me communicate with friends and family when there are obstacles that keep us apart from one another. Not only am I learning more about technology, but it is helping me decide the major or career that I may be interested in the future relating to technology. I want to know more about the ways software, hardware, programs, and other technologies are created and learn how to use those to benefit not just myself and be able to teach others.
