Note:That the prices listed where based and modified by the information from other locations like staples and office depot. There are also issues with copy right so that was another factor that played into determining the designs and items that could be 3D printed. Another factor to keep in mind is if the design is going to hollow or filled because that would affect the price of the design. Deposits are always going to be half the cost of the design to insure that the 3D design is not going to waste filament or time where others could have been using the 3D printer.

Notes:
*On an average day there would be at least 3 designs printed because of time factor, the amount taken to create each design, and to make sure that the 3D printer does not overheat and malfunction.
*Another factor to keep in mind is the changing of colors and the amount of filament used up for the designs which at the moment there is more than enough filament to use for many designs.
Set Designs: Cindy C.
Some set designs for 3D printing are models are figures that are not copyrighted from other sources. There are some designs were it is allowed to print but others that require persmission. Some example designs are the pumas head in different sizes, the coin with the puma figure on it to show a 2D model, a double helix, and a hello kitty that is in the process of printing. All the figures capture different variety of designs that could be in a 2D figure and how important dimensions are. The different puma sizes would show how the printer is able to capture specific features of the puma and/or any designs being printed. The hello kitty would inform the consumer of how certain figures would be sized and be printered out since it is difficult to print certain designs. The double helix design is to show how a 3D model could be printed differently, have a different cost because it was less time, used less filament, and the size, also show that there are a variety of designs that could be printed.
Target Audience: Cesar P.
The 3D printer would be open to anyone interested in creating their own design and selecting one directly off of Thingiverse. Ms.Gandhi in particular, has wanted to print out a design since the very first day word got out of the 3D printer (but we weren't able to print anything due to not having a policy before). Teens, any student at Gertz, would be the first target, since they are easily drawn to new innovations, which is why the morning meeting would be the perfect time to announce the opening of our little "business". When discussing this with Mr.Cuevas, he acknowledged that several staff from the home office have also requested getting a design printed for themselves, which is why the target audience is not just aimed at students, but will be targeted at anyone interested in trying something knew, and willing to pay to get a design printed. Furthermore when giving the morning announcement, one could easily see who is interested, by seeing who stares admiringly at the samples that we will have up in there.
Copyright & Infringement: Diana H.
We came to the conclusion that printing items with a logo or any type of brand/company would be considered to be copyright, especially if one is making profit out of it (Hello Kity, Batman, pokemon, etc.) We went to the Terms and Conditions for the Staples 3-D printer, and they did outline that anything relating to copyright infringement is not to be printed. Staples has their own sets of designs that they have created, for the public to buy, which is why students would create their own design on Tinkercad (this is an easier version of Sketchup). Creating their own designs through Tinkercad will keep the students or staff from potentially copyrighting.

The Monday Morning meetings are the one way that things get known with the whole school knowing. Diana volunteer to stand up in front of the school during the morning meeting to announce that we are at last allowing students and staff to 3D print their own designs. After giving the announcement, Diana would finish off by saying that if they have any questions, they can go up to any of the Cyber Pumas for clarification. When making the announcement, Diana also be displaying the Large, Medium, Small, and X-Small Puma head models that we have in class, in order for everyone to get an idea of what it is that they can choose from. Because some people forget what was said in the morning meeting, Diana was thinking of displaying all the objects we have printed so far, in the class shelf outside of Ms.Kim's room, since it is one of the first things that people look at.
