Digital Citizenship is to inform us about the importance and causes of technology has on society. Especially, relate the topic to ourselves personally to see the affects of putting stuff online and the affects that it has on people. Something that really stood out to me about the videos and making the presentation was that anything that is posted online is there forever and it would never be erased from the internet meaning that we all have an affect on the internet. That once something is online there is no undo button or delete button because its online were anyone could see it and that could have consequences on the person that post it. It is important to remember to think about your actions before doing them and taking responsibility for your actions to grow from the experience to never do that again.

What is the place of digital media in our lives?
Digital media plays a huge role in my life and everyday its increasing more since there is more technology in our generation. I like to use social media a lot which can be a good thing and bad thing on its own. The good thing about social media that it a way to express/ inform people about news occurring around us. I am also a very social person on social medias by that I mean I have many accounts which I benefit from and others not so much. A bad side to having social media is that it is becoming more and more addicting to people especially me. I really try to limit myself from using my phone or laptop but it is difficult when social media is taking over your life. One of my favorite things to do on social media is interact with friends or meet new people. It gives the ability to connect and communicate with one another even if its not face to face and inform people about news sometimes. I have connect with others using the same software or having a common interest of those software’s. A positive to social media is that people can meet new people with common interest so that they don’t feel alone and gain knowledge of the current world around them. Even though there are some positives there also some negatives that come with social media such as it is taking over the lives of people in the sense that people would rather be on their phones than have real human interaction and try doing something interactive of their lives outside of their computer.

What are the consequences of oversharing online?
The consequences of oversharing online is that once something is uploaded online then it won't be ever deleted. Even if it is posted for a few seconds anyone can see it and can copy it and re posted or the post can be kept on the record online which cannot ever be deleted from the internet. There are also people that are over sharers which makes them be more addicted to the internet and post everything online. This makes the person lose their privacy of their lives and doesn't allow them to live their lives when they spend all their time on the internet. People can be hacked and lose everything and can get cyber bullied by the things that they posted or commented. This could lead to people being ashamed of what they posted and regretted it because they might get bullied, and teased for the post that they uploaded.

How can I make responsible choices when I use other people's creative work? One way that I can make responsible choices when using other creative work is to cite the person that that created the other work. To credit the person correctly and for any information that I use that isn’t mine. If I don’t use cite the other person correctly then it is plagiarism because I’m not giving them the credit for their work. The work that is paraphrased and not cited can cause many problems with copyright issues between the other person and myself. I can be responsible when using other people’s work by citing them and giving them the credit for it so that I can stay out of copyright problems.

Which factors intensify cyber bullying and online cruelty, and what can you do to lessen them? The factors intensify cyber bullying and online cruelty to the real life doing bullying by internet. There could be people that are being victims of hateful comments that convey negativity to their lives even more when there are others that can read the comments. There are many people that are grouping together to cyber bully others by phone, computer, or other which could be spread throughout the internet. To lessen the factors there should be some sort of policy on what is allowed on certain words that could use and cannot be used. There should be online safety lesson in order to inform the people of the risks that are going to come with using the internet and be safe about using the internet.
